From Jeff Greenwald, Executive Director of Ethical Traveler:

Friends and fellow travelers! As you may already know, the non-profit I co-created in 2003 — Ethical Traveler — has been offering some great trips to Cuba. This year, we’re expanding to include fascinating, enlightening journeys to Costa Rica and Panama as well. Cuba will be in the Spring of 2015, and I’ll send a longer message about that one later in the year (but it’s not too early to sign up!). I’ll be leading the Panama trip, too. So climb on board! Our trips are small, inexpensive, eye-opening and really, really

I just discovered, a provider of responsible adventure travel. Check out their trips and travel blog.

“Meaningful travel is experiential, socially-responsible travel allowing travelers to make a difference and give back. Tours address and lend financial support to global development issues (women’s empowerment, youth, education, health, poverty-alleviation and social justice) in the countries we operate. Sometimes meaningful travel may include volunteer travel; however, the majority of times it does not.

“Meaningful travel also provides the best in sights, activities, food, comfort, safety and more for your well-deserved vacation. Meaningful travelers… just like you… care deeply, practice kindness, crave connection, and live (and travel) purposefully.”
