From Global Volunteer Network (GVN): what if this year our New Year’s resolutions not only focused on bettering our personal self but also bettering the global community?

If you have ever had a desire to learn about working for the United Nations, or a desire to start an international charity, or have just wondered how to get into the field of International Development, then GVN’s ‘Be The Change Program’ in Jamaica is the perfect way to start 2009.

GVN’s ‘Be The Change’ Program in Jamaica is a week-long workshop designed to take a person’s lifelong international development goals and make them a reality. Set in the beautiful Runaway Bay in Jamaica, March 15-22nd, this ‘Be The Change’ Course will be led by United Nations expert Nadine McNeil, GVN Founder and CEO Colin Salisbury and GVN Foundation Executive Director Courtney Montague. These three facilitators will take a group of 5-10 participants through a series of hands-on workshops designed to address each participant’s goals. Each participant will leave with a set of skills in online marketing, international development, fundraising, and international development organizations (including the United Nations). By the time each participant leaves they will have developed an action plan to make their dream a reality.

The deadline to sign up for Jamaica’s Be the Change Program is January 15th and we only have 4 spots left! More information and sign-up here.
