How do sorcerer enchantments work in Diablo 4? ›

Enchantments are an interesting Sorceress mechanic in Diablo 4 because they don't require much in exchange for heaps of power and variety. They allow Sorcerers to activate additional passive buffs by equipping spells to two unique slots, and every skill available to the class gets its own unique Enchantment effect.

For the Sorcerer, it's Enchantment Slots, allowing you to bolster your build with great passive effects. These can truly alter your playstyle, leading to many unique ways of playing your Sorcerer. The specialization unlocks at level 15 after doing a Sorcerer only questline.

Skill Enhancements and Modifiers carry over to the Enchantment as well. Even Skills which are not equipped to one of the six keybinds can be Enchanted!

The Sorcerer table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these sorcerer spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

Wizards can regain spent spell slots with Arcane Recovery once per long rest. Sorcerers can convert their Sorcery points into Spell slots of 5th level or lower, or conversely turn spell slots into sorcery points, both of which recovery with a long rest.
